Voucher Seminar Planned for April
NLHA HAS SCHEDULED a day and half seminar for PHA voucher
administrators to help keep current with HUD rulemaking and policy directions;
how to sail through an IG audit; and ways to use the EIV system.
Chaired by Nan McKay, the seminar with be held in Washington, DC
Thursday, April 17 and Friday, April 18.
Key
HUD program and Inspector General officials will be on hand, along with PHA
specialist to share techniques, insights, and best practices. This is an
excellent time for PHA voucher administrators to provide feedback to HUD
officials about their real world experience with the new HCV funding formula,
recent rules, and the Enterprise Income Verification (EIV) system.
This
annual seminar will provide the most recent information on the revised Section
8 funding formula and what reserves may be recaptured (usable vs. unusable).
Further, HUD will provide updates on pending administrative changes to
the tenant-based program regulations.
PHAs
will learn what to expect from and IG audit and receive advice from fellow
practitioners on how to survive an on-site HUD audit.
